In the 4 years between my births of Scarlett & Mylee (Mylee being 8 months old at the time of writing this) I have learnt oh so much about breastfeeding. Hindsight & reflection of my previous breastfeeding journeys has been such a powerful tool for myself to identify where I could improve & make changes to ensure this breastfeeding journey was my best yet :) Collecting colostrum prior to birth was something that I was determined I would do this time round! And wow was it powerful... here's my story- I always knew colostrum was such an important first food...
I stumbled across this piece written by my beautiful cousin Lucy.
I had no idea she felt this way in her early days and had been made to feel anything less than amazing for birthing her beautiful Oliver.
Her story is one that needs to be shared. May it be a reminder that every Mama is amazing and that there is no easy way out when it comes to birth & feeding your baby. Here is her story.
I have always believed knowledge is power so to the Mums to be or the Mum's currently in the breastfeeding trenches- this is for you, Love Alysia xxx
